Monster Island, The Asylum’s 2019 mockbuster, was released at the same time that Godzilla: King of Monsters. It is about an island called Monster Island. A monster might be discovered there, and who could then become the Monster Island.


The budget for an asylum movie is approximately the same as that of a big kid's lunch. It makes good use of it by focusing only on a few people and keeping its major stars in one set so all their sequences can still be recorded during lunch.
